I automated my trading with this OpenClaw Skill
Checks 500+ DEXs for safety, finds best routes across 7 chains
I was an early OpenClaw user, starting with simple stuff like calendar management and workout tracking. It worked, but I wanted more from it. Being deep into crypto, I decided to build my own trading Skill.
Turns out, that was harder than I expected.
API configurations were a mess. Cross-chain swaps barely worked. Price data lagged. And I still had to write custom code just to check if a contract was safe. Every attempt took forever and still felt fragile. The gap between spotting a trade and actually making it kept getting in the way.
Meanwhile, I'd been using Bitget Wallet and loved how simple it made trading. Cross-chain swaps in one click. No bridging. No hunting for gas tokens on every chain. I kept thinking: why can't my AI tools work this smoothly?
Around then, my trading group started talking about OpenClaw Skills. I'd been so focused on building my own that I hadn't noticed what was already out there. They described trades taking seconds instead of minutes.
I decided to stop building and start exploring.
What I found
OpenClaw is an AI agent framework where you install Skills like apps on your phone. Without Skills, your AI can chat. With Skills installed, it can actually do things.
I tested a few trading Skills. Some gave price updates. Others showed charts. But they all stopped at information. I still had to copy addresses, open my wallet, and figure out swap routes myself.
Then I found the Bitget Wallet Skill. The setup took about two minutes. I cloned the repo, moved it into OpenClaw's skills directory, and restarted.
This Skill came with built-in public keys, so I didn't need to generate any API keys. I could start using it immediately. I opened Telegram and started asking questions.
What I use it for daily
Everything I used to juggle across five different apps now happens in one chat.
Finding opportunities. I type "what's moving on Solana?" and it shows me trending tokens with real volume. Gainers and losers appear instantly.
Checking contract vulnerabilities. I type "check this contract" and ten seconds later, I get key details like mint functions, honeypots, and whether ownership has been renounced. This has saved me from several bad trades.
Verifying liquidity. I type "show me new pools on Base with liquidity over $200k" and get vetted options within seconds. If the depth isn't there, I move on.
Getting the best route. When I'm ready to buy, I type "buy $500 worth using the best route." The Skill scans 500+ DEXs across 7 chains, finds the path with lowest slippage, and prepares an unsigned transaction.
Staying in control. I review the transaction on my phone, scan my face, and submit. The Skill never holds my keys.
Monitoring positions. Later I type "how's that token doing?" and it returns current value, volume trends, and any large wallet movements.
Why this one works for me
I've tried other trading Skills. Most show you data but leave you doing the work. Bitget Wallet Skill brings the same functionality I use in Bitget Wallet directly into my AI agent.
Complete control. The Skill prepares unsigned transactions that only I can approve. I review every detail on my phone, scan my face, and sign. My keys never leave my device.
No gas token? It handles that. When I'm on Base and my ETH is on mainnet, the fee comes out of what I'm swapping. I don't need to source ETH first.
Cross-chain in one transaction. Moving from Ethereum to Arbitrum occurs in a single transaction, without using bridges.
The best part? No API keys to manage. I didn't configure anything. It worked immediately.
Other Skills provide information. This Skill helps me focus on the decisions that actually improve my P&L by handling repetitive work for me.
Try it yourself
You can have your own onchain trading desk running in about two minutes. Install Bitget Wallet Skill on OpenClaw, connect it to your messenger app, and let AI do the heavy lifting while you focus on trading.
Step 1: Head to the Bitget Wallet AI Lab GitHub repository, copy the clone command, and add it to your OpenClaw skills directory.
Step 2: Once it's installed, connect it to Telegram, WhatsApp, or any messenger you already use. Start with simple questions. Ask what's moving on your favorite chain. Check a contract before you buy. Let it find the best route across hundreds of DEXs.
Bitget Wallet Skill handles research and execution. You stay in control. Your keys never leave your device.
I'm still learning. But for the first time, the tools are finally catching up to how I actually want to trade.
