Anthropic just walked into Wall Street's back office and the market noticed immediately.
This week, Anthropic launched 10 AI agents built specifically for high-frequency financial tasks. They plug directly into Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, and connect to professional databases including Moody's and Dun & Bradstreet. Anthropic also announced joint ventures with Blackstone, Hellman & Friedman, and Goldman Sachs to accelerate enterprise deployment.
The reaction was swift. Investors started asking a very direct question: if AI can automate these tasks, what happens to the companies that charge for them?
