Obligate aims to provide a secure, transparent, and regulatory-compliant platform for the issuance, trading, and lifecycle management of debt instruments natively issued on the blockchain. The platform's unique architecture caters to the complex needs of institutional investors while lowering barriers for issuers by providing efficient access to multilateral financing.

To participate in Obligate's ecosystem, users must successfully identify and register on the platform. As part of the onboarding process, parties go through a full KYB & KYC process. Once the onboarding and registration process is completed, users receive login data as well as personal electronic signatures. Obligate supports institutional-grade wallets such as Fireblocks or Metamask Institutional.

Obligate's unique approach focuses on the native issuance of securities as transferable tokens on public blockchains, rather than simply tokenizing existing financial instruments. Built around the eNote framework, this approach enables corporates and financial services providers to issue a variety of digital securities directly and in a peer-to-peer fashion.

Obligate AG, based in Zurich, Switzerland, is a regulated financial intermediary and a member of a FINMA-supervised AML SRO. The platform features proprietary eNotes®, ledger-based securities based on the most advanced DLT-legislation, a comprehensive dispute resolution framework, and global enforceability of the debt securities, demonstrating its commitment to meeting institutional standards.
