How Does NINFA Work?

NINFA employs a novel strategy based on an early-warning decision support system (DSS) and a comprehensive knowledge database, known as the NINFA Platform. It integrates innovative monitoring, modeling, and treatment solutions to address various pollutants, including nutrients, pesticides, salinity, contaminants of emerging concern (CECs), antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs), and microplastics (MPs).

NINFA stands out by addressing the synergistic effects of multiple stressors and pollutants on groundwater. It combines advanced technologies with a holistic approach to groundwater management, considering factors like climate change and global environmental shifts.
