Dusk Network is a decentralized blockchain protocol that provides privacy and transparent solutions for payment, communication, and asset ownership transfer. It is different from consensus mechanisms such as PoW/PoS, and introduces a new privacy-oriented consensus mechanism-Byzantine Agreement (SBA). Dusk is a new blockchain that provides real privacy and a fast and secure streaming media mechanism-Secure Tunnel Exchange (STS). DUSK tokens are used for staking and participating in consensus. In addition, DUSK tokens are also used for payment transactions, deployment of dApps and natural gas. Tokens can also be used as rewards for consensus participants. DUSK can exchange XSC-based tokens unidirectionally and through atomic swaps. Once issued, the DUSK token will be used for on-chain governance within XSC. In Dusk Network, block rewards are paid through the transmission of DUSK defined in the protocol. Most of all newly issued DUSK will be rewarded to consensus participants, while a small part will be allocated to technology development funds to create an independent funding mechanism for long-term research and development.
