DoubleZero: Guía del proyecto | Actualizaciones, preventa y airdrop

Q: What is the Purpose of DoubleZero?

The primary goal of DoubleZero is to create a decentralized, high-performance internet tailored for blockchains and distributed systems, serving as the backbone for Web3’s future. By reengineering connectivity, DoubleZero aims to enable millions of transactions per second, supporting not just crypto but also gaming, AI, and enterprise applications.

Q: How Can I Participate in DoubleZero's Ecosystem?

Individuals can participate in DoubleZero's ecosystem by contributing fiber-optic cables and hardware to the network in a permissionless manner. Additionally, validators and RPC providers can join the network to optimize their operations. Engaging with the community through official channels and staying updated on announcements is also encouraged.

Q: What Sets DoubleZero Apart from Competitors?

DoubleZero's unique dual-ring architecture separates spam filtering from consensus processing, significantly reducing latency. Its permissionless model allows global operators to contribute to the network, fostering decentralization. The multicast technology ensures fair data distribution among validators, preventing monopolization and enhancing overall network efficiency.

Q: Is DoubleZero Secure?

DoubleZero implements security measures such as FPGA-powered nodes for spam filtering and a decentralized network structure to enhance resilience. The permissionless contribution model and transparent operations aim to maintain the integrity and security of the network.

Q: What are the Risks Associated with DoubleZero?

Potential risks include technical challenges in deploying and maintaining a global fiber network, regulatory uncertainties, and market adoption hurdles. DoubleZero addresses these risks through strategic partnerships, continuous development, and community engagement to ensure the project's success.

DoubleZero

DoubleZero is a new global base layer network optimized for blockchain and distributed systems. The protocol enables permissionless contribution of independent fiber links to create a dynamic and expansive low-level high performance global network. This decentralized network infrastructure layer enables systems like Layer 1 and Layer 2 blockchains to be freed of communication bottlenecks and approach the maximum performance that physics allows.

What is DoubleZero?

DoubleZero is a global fiber network designed to enhance the performance of distributed systems and blockchains. It aims to provide high-performance networking and hardware acceleration, serving as the world's first N1—a base layer network infrastructure for distributed systems. The project's mission is to increase bandwidth and reduce latency, effectively accelerating blockchain technology by a decade.

How Does DoubleZero Work?

DoubleZero operates by creating a decentralized network of fiber-optic cables and hardware, contributed permissionlessly by operators worldwide. Its dual-ring architecture consists of an outer ring that filters spam using FPGA-powered nodes and an inner ring that optimizes validator data flow. This structure reduces latency and boosts throughput, enabling blockchain systems to achieve higher performance without sacrificing decentralization.

What Makes DoubleZero Unique?

DoubleZero stands out due to its dual-ring architecture that separates spam filtering from consensus processing, significantly reducing latency. It allows global operators to contribute fiber-optic cables and hardware in a permissionless manner, fostering a decentralized network. Additionally, its multicast technology ensures fair data distribution among validators, preventing monopolization and enhancing overall network efficiency.

Who Are the Founders of DoubleZero?

DoubleZero was co-founded by Austin Federa, former head of communications at the Solana Foundation; Andrew McConnell, who brings expertise in Web3 network architecture; and Mateo Ward, with experience from Global Crossing and the high-frequency trading space. Their combined backgrounds in blockchain, networking, and decentralized systems drive the project's vision and execution.

What Key Events Have There Been for DoubleZero?

In March 2025, DoubleZero Foundation closed a $28 million token funding round co-led by Multicoin Capital and Dragonfly Capital. The funds are intended to support hiring in key areas and transition the network from its testnet beta phase to a public mainnet anticipated later in the year. Additionally, DoubleZero launched a permissioned testnet, allowing Solana validators and RPCs to participate in the testing phase.

Project Announcements

DoubleZero announced the launch of its permissioned testnet in March 2025, operational in seven global cities: Singapore, Tokyo, Los Angeles, New York, London, Amsterdam, and Frankfurt. This testnet allows Solana validators and RPCs to participate in the testing phase, marking a significant milestone towards the project's mainnet launch.
