What is Stablecoin Development Corporation?

Stablecoin Development Corporation (formerly NovaBay Pharmaceuticals) is a publicly traded holding company listed on the NYSE American (Ticker: SDEV). It has pivoted from the biopharmaceutical sector to become a strategic vehicle for the stablecoin economy, focusing on acquiring and staking governance tokens like SKY to provide public market investors with structured exposure to the DeFi and stablecoin markets.

How Does Stablecoin Development Corporation Work?

The corporation operates as an institutional-scale digital asset treasury. It utilizes a strategy similar to MicroStrategy's Bitcoin model but applied to the stablecoin sector. What Makes Stablecoin Development Corporation Unique?

SDEV is unique for being one of the first major public companies to fully exit a traditional business (eyecare) to focus exclusively on the stablecoin ecosystem. Unlike a simple ETF, it actively participates in the governance and yield-bearing activities of the Sky Protocol, holding nearly 9.15% of the total SKY token supply as of 2026, backed by major industry players like Tether.

Who Are the Founders of Stablecoin Development Corporation?

The transformation into Stablecoin Development Corporation was led by CEO Michael Kazley, who spearheaded the pivot from NovaBay Pharmaceuticals. The initiative is supported by a board of directors with experience in both traditional corporate management and the emerging digital asset landscape, specifically supported by strategic investments from Tether and Framework Ventures.
