What is Arcus?

Arcus is a next-generation decentralized exchange (DEX) and Web3 ecosystem that bridges the gap between traditional finance and decentralized assets. Built in partnership between dYdX Labs and Robinhood Crypto, it operates on the Robinhood Chain, focusing on the seamless trading of tokenized equities, perpetual contracts, and various cryptoassets within a high-performance environment.

How Does Arcus Work?

Arcus functions as a blockchain-based smart contract protocol facilitating self-custodial, peer-to-peer trading. It utilizes the Robinhood Chain to ensure high-speed transactions and low latency, which are often barriers in traditional decentralized chains. The platform integrates GameFi and SocialFi elements, allowing users to engage in esports tournaments and earn rewards through a unified dashboard.

What Makes Arcus Unique?

Arcus stands out by offering 24/7 trading of tokenized stocks alongside crypto perpetuals, supporting up to 50x leverage and cross-margin features. Unlike many DEXs, it aims for a 'Web2-like' user experience through its Robinhood integration, while its ecosystem encompasses an all-in-one esports aggregator and 'Social Finance' (SocFi) platform for managing gaming assets.

Who Are the Founders of Arcus?

Arcus was incubated at dYdX Labs and is led by CEO and Founder Eddie Zhang. Zhang is recognized for his leadership within the 'Pocket Protector' team at dYdX, where he significantly influenced the protocol's development culture. The project also benefits from the strategic guidance of dYdX founder Antonio Juliano, who serves on the Arcus board.
