What is Gravity Team?

Gravity Team is a leading algorithmic crypto market maker and liquidity provider, founded in 2017 to address price disparities and supply-demand imbalances in the global digital asset markets. The project operates as a quantitative proprietary trading firm, providing 24/7 liquidity to over 350 digital assets across more than 30 global exchanges, accounting for approximately 1% of the total global crypto spot trading volume.

How Does Gravity Team Work?

The team utilizes advanced proprietary quantitative trading software and state-of-the-art algorithms to manage order books and execute millions of trades with minimal slippage. By deploying their own capital and sophisticated routing technology, they bridge the gap between fragmented liquidity sources and institutional or retail traders, ensuring efficient price discovery and market stability across centralized and decentralized venues.

What Makes Gravity Team Unique?

Unlike traditional market makers, Gravity Team is 'crypto-native' and heavily focused on emerging markets such as Southeast Asia, Latin America, and Africa. They specialize in high-growth ecosystems and provide 24/7 support for over 1,400 trading pairs. Their ability to operate in complex regulatory environments and provide deep liquidity to local exchanges makes them a vital infrastructure partner for both new token projects and established trading platforms.

Who Are the Founders of Gravity Team?

The firm was founded by childhood friends Martins Benkitis and Edgars Laimite, who recognized arbitrage opportunities like the 'Tom Yum premium' in Thailand. They were joined by Kriss Pujats as CTO. The leadership team combines expertise in quantitative finance, physics, and software engineering, scaling the firm to over 60 professionals including international science and mathematics olympiad winners.
