Stacks inherits Bitcoin's security through its PoX consensus, anchoring its blockchain to Bitcoin. The Clarity smart contract language is designed to prevent common vulnerabilities, enhancing the platform's overall security.

Stack: Guia do projeto | Atualizações, pré-venda e airdrop

Q: What is the Purpose of Stacks?

Stacks aims to extend Bitcoin's functionality by enabling smart contracts and dApps, thereby creating a decentralized internet and digital economy secured by Bitcoin.

Q: How Can I Participate in Stacks's Ecosystem?

Users can participate by developing or using dApps built on Stacks, staking STX tokens to support network security, or contributing to the community through development, governance, or promotional activities.

Q: What Sets Stacks Apart from Competitors?

Stacks uniquely brings smart contracts to Bitcoin without modifying its base layer, leveraging Bitcoin's security while offering a scalable platform for dApps. Its PoX consensus and Clarity language are tailored for security and predictability.

Q: What are the Risks Associated with Stacks?

Potential risks include regulatory changes, technological challenges, and market volatility. The Stacks community actively works to mitigate these risks through transparent governance, continuous development, and adherence to regulatory standards.

Stack

Tools

Stack makes it easy to reward users with onchain points for any activity. Stack provides onchain solutions for redeeming points for ERC20 tokens, an admin interface for managing your points program, and simple developer toolkits (SDKs) for integrating a points program into your project.

What is Stacks?

Stacks is a Bitcoin layer that enables smart contracts and decentralized applications (dApps) to use Bitcoin as an asset and settle transactions on the Bitcoin blockchain. It extends Bitcoin's functionality without modifying its core protocol, aiming to create a decentralized internet and digital economy.

How Does Stacks Work?

Stacks operates as an independent blockchain connected to Bitcoin through its unique Proof of Transfer (PoX) consensus mechanism. This allows Stacks to leverage Bitcoin's security while enabling the development of smart contracts and dApps. Transactions on Stacks are settled on the Bitcoin blockchain, ensuring immutability and security.

What Makes Stacks Unique?

Stacks introduces smart contracts and dApps to the Bitcoin ecosystem without altering Bitcoin's base layer. Key features include the Clarity smart contract language, designed for predictability and security, and the PoX consensus mechanism, which anchors Stacks to Bitcoin, providing a secure and scalable platform for developers.

Who Are the Founders of Stacks?

Stacks was founded by Muneeb Ali and Ryan Shea in 2013. Muneeb Ali, a computer science researcher from Princeton University, focused his Ph.D. thesis on Blockstack, the precursor to Stacks. Ryan Shea co-led the project, aiming to address issues of internet privacy and security by building a decentralized internet.
