What is Armada?

Armada is an open-source toolkit developed collaboratively by PsyFi and HXRO for launching and managing tokens on the Solana blockchain. It provides a comprehensive set of tools for token launches, liquidity management, incentive structures, and governance integration. Armada aims to address the pain points experienced by projects in the Solana ecosystem when dealing with tokenomics and related infrastructure.

How Does Armada Work?

Armada offers a suite of protocols for Solana-based projects, facilitating every phase of the token lifecycle with a focus on token launch, liquidity, and governance. Their tools, designed to empower community-driven projects, include customizable options for token launches, automated on-chain liquidity provisioning, and governance mechanisms compatible with Solana's major DAO frameworks. Armada's approach is hands-on, providing tailored solutions to meet the unique needs of each project's community.

What Makes Armada Unique?

Armada's auction mechanism is designed for price discovery during token launches. It allows projects to start with a higher token price, which can then adjust based on demand. If no one is buying at the initial price, it goes lower, but when people start buying, the price jumps up. This dynamic pricing model helps ensure a fair and efficient distribution process for new tokens. Additionally, Armada provides non-custodial institutional market making on top of Orca whirlpools and includes governance solutions like single-side staking and a fee distribution multiplexer.

Who Are the Founders of Armada?

Armada is a collaborative project between PsyFi (formerly PsyOptions) and HXRO. Tommy Johnson, co-founder of PsyFi, has been developing on Solana for almost three years. PsyFi originally launched as Cy Options, focusing on options trading before pivoting to structured products.
