Canton Network: Project Guide | Latest Updates, Presale & Airdrop

Q: What is the Purpose of Canton Network?

The primary goal of the Canton Network is to enable secure, interoperable, and privacy-preserving transactions for financial institutions by connecting disparate financial systems while meeting regulatory and privacy requirements.

Q: How Can I Participate in Canton Network's Ecosystem?

To participate in the Canton Network's ecosystem, interested parties can connect with a community expert to learn how to: connect a validator and start using assets and applications, tokenize assets on Canton, connect your wallet or custody services, create and launch new applications, and join the Global Synchronizer Foundation.

Q: What Sets Canton Network Apart from Competitors?

Canton distinctly balances the decentralization of public blockchain with the privacy and controls required for financial markets. No other network allows assets and data to move across applications with real-time synchronization and guaranteed privacy—without the need to sacrifice trust or give up control to central intermediaries.

Q: Is Canton Network Secure?

Canton is the first privacy-enabled open blockchain network, ensuring limitless connections that preserve privacy. Enabled by unique smart contract technology, network participants can confidently exchange data and value to unlock the potential of synchronized financial markets.

Q: What are the Risks Associated with Canton Network?

Canton Network

The Canton Network is the financial industry’s first privacy-enabled interoperable blockchain network designed for institutional assets, launched by a group of leading financial institutions, infrastructure providers, technology firms, and consultants. The Canton Network’s design overcomes the shortfalls of existing smart-contract blockchain networks and enables previously siloed systems in finance to become interoperable and synchronized in ways that had been impossible before. Offering the privacy and controls required for highly regulated organizations, the Canton Network creates a safe and sound environment in which assets, data, and cash can move freely across applications in real time, unlocking new efficiencies and powering innovation.

What is Canton Network?

The Canton Network is a public blockchain network developed for financial institutions to enable secure, interoperable, and privacy-preserving transactions. Launched in 2023 by a consortium of banks, exchanges, and technology firms, including BNP Paribas, Capgemini, CBOE, Deloitte, Deutsche Börse, Digital Asset, Goldman Sachs, Microsoft, Moody's, and Paxos, the network aims to connect disparate financial systems while meeting regulatory and privacy requirements.

How Does Canton Network Work?

Canton is designed as a 'network of networks,' where each participating institution maintains its own ledger while connecting with others via a shared synchronization layer. This architecture enables atomic transactions, ensuring that complex, multi-party exchanges either complete fully or not at all, while preserving the privacy of sensitive financial data. The network utilizes Digital Asset's Daml smart contract language and implements cryptographic measures to restrict transaction visibility only to the parties involved.

What Makes Canton Network Unique?

Canton connects previously siloed financial systems and infrastructure, creating new potential for innovation and growth—without sacrificing privacy or control. It is the first privacy-enabled open blockchain network, ensuring limitless connections that preserve privacy. Enabled by unique smart contract technology, network participants can confidently exchange data and value to unlock the potential of synchronized financial markets.

Who Are the Founders of Canton Network?

The Canton Network was launched by a group of leading financial institutions, infrastructure providers, technology firms, and consultants on May 9, 2023. Notable participants include BNP Paribas, Capgemini, CBOE, Deloitte, Deutsche Börse, Digital Asset, Goldman Sachs, Microsoft, Moody's, and Paxos.
