What is Com2uS?

Com2uS is a leading South Korean mobile and online game development and publishing powerhouse. It is best known for its global hit 'Summoners War' and has expanded into the blockchain space with XPLA, a high-performance Layer 1 mainnet designed to serve as a comprehensive content hub for Web3 gaming, NFTs, and the metaverse. The project's mission is to bridge the gap between Web2 and Web3 by providing a seamless, content-driven ecosystem where digital ownership is a reality for everyone.

How Does Com2uS Work?

Com2uS operates its Web3 ecosystem through the XPLA mainnet, which is built using the Cosmos SDK and the Tendermint consensus mechanism. This architecture allows for high scalability, low transaction fees (often sub-cent), and approximately six-second block finality. It features EVM (Ethereum Virtual Machine) compatibility to support a wide range of decentralized applications (DApps) and uses the Inter-Blockchain Communication (IBC) protocol to ensure interoperability with other major blockchain networks.

What Makes Com2uS Unique?

What distinguishes Com2uS and its XPLA network is its 'Play to Own' (P2O) philosophy, which emphasizes true ownership of in-game assets over simple 'Play to Earn' mechanics. The ecosystem is uniquely vertically integrated, leveraging Com2uS's massive portfolio of existing gaming IPs (like Summoners War and The Walking Dead: All-Stars). Additionally, it features a unique 'Relief Fund Support' program to assist users affected by external ecosystem crises, demonstrating a high commitment to community security and stability.

Who Are the Founders of Com2uS?

Com2uS was founded in 1998 by Jiyoung Park, Youngil Lee, and Yu Jin Hyeon, who were pioneers in the Korean mobile gaming industry. Following a strategic acquisition in 2013, the company is now a core part of Com2uS Holdings (formerly Gamevil), led by Chairman Song Byeong-joon. The leadership team brings over two decades of experience in game publishing and technological innovation to the blockchain space.
