Strip

Yield Tokenization

Strip is a yield tokenization protocol. Depositors deposit supported, yield-generating collateral into Strip and receive Principal tokens (PT) representing the value of their deposits. Principal maintains liquidity: there are no maturity dates, no lock-up periods, and no withdrawal queues. What's truly liquid is the yield.

What is Strip?

Strip Finance is a decentralized finance (DeFi) protocol specifically designed to address liquidity challenges in the NFT market. By providing a collateralized lending and borrowing marketplace on the BNB Smart Chain (BSC), Strip Finance allows NFT holders to unlock value from their digital assets without selling them, effectively bridging the gap between NFT ownership and immediate capital needs.

How Does Strip Work?

The platform operates using a peer-to-peer (P2P) and pool-based lending model. Users can list their NFTs as collateral to request loans in stablecoins or other cryptocurrencies. Lenders provide liquidity to these requests in exchange for interest. The process is governed by smart contracts that manage collateral escrow, loan disbursement, and liquidation triggers if the value of the NFT falls below a specific risk threshold relative to the loan amount.

What Makes Strip Unique?

Strip Finance stands out by focusing on the 'NFT-to-liquidity' pipeline, which is often illiquid compared to fungible tokens. Its unique features include a custom risk management engine for digital art and gaming assets, the ability to utilize its native STRIP token for reduced platform fees, and a decentralized governance model where token holders vote on key parameters like supported NFT collections and interest rate models.

Who Are the Founders of Strip?

The project was founded by a team of experienced professionals in the fintech and blockchain space, including Varun Satyam (Co-founder), who has a background in crypto investments and ecosystem building, and Raghavendra (Co-founder), who brings expertise in software architecture and financial systems. The team is backed by prominent venture capital firms such as Shima Capital and Exnetwork Capital.
