What is Apyx?

Apyx is the world's first Dividend-Backed Stablecoin (DBS) protocol, designed to provide stable, yield-bearing exposure by sourcing yield from preferred equity issued by Digital Asset Treasuries (DATs). This innovative approach aims to offer double-digit returns to holders while maintaining stability.

How Does Apyx Work?

Apyx operates by collateralizing its stablecoin, apxUSD, with publicly traded preferred equity from DAT companies. These preferred shares generate dividends, which are then transformed into enhanced, native on-chain yield for apyUSD holders. This process creates a structural link between public capital markets and decentralized finance (DeFi).

What Makes Apyx Unique?

Apyx stands out by offering double-digit yields to stablecoin holders, unlike traditional stablecoins that provide little to no yield. Its backing by publicly listed preferred equity ensures transparency and regulatory oversight, providing a fundamentally different and secure backing mechanism.

Who Are the Founders of Apyx?

Apyx is supported by the team behind DeFi Development Corp. (Nasdaq: DFDV), the first non-BTC Digital Asset Treasury, which launched in April 2025. This background equips the team with expertise at the intersection of public markets and crypto, enabling them to address structural weaknesses in the stablecoin landscape.
