What is Ondo Perps?

Ondo Perps is a decentralized perpetual futures trading platform built by Ondo Finance that specializes in Real World Assets (RWAs). Its mission is to bridge traditional financial markets and decentralized finance (DeFi) by allowing users to trade perpetual contracts on tokenized U.S. equities, ETFs, and commodities with up to 20x leverage, available 24/7.

How Does Ondo Perps Work?

The platform utilizes Ondo Global Markets' infrastructure to offer tokenized versions of traditional assets. Users can open long or short leveraged positions on these assets. Uniquely, the technology allows for 'tokenized collateral,' where traders can use their holdings of tokenized stocks (like NVDA or TSLA) or stablecoins as margin to back their trades, enhancing capital efficiency.

What Makes Ondo Perps Unique?

Ondo Perps is the first platform to support tokenized stocks as collateral for perpetual derivatives. Unlike traditional markets that operate only during business hours, it offers 24/7 trading on global equities and commodities. It features market depth comparable to traditional finance and real-time execution speeds while remaining decentralized on-chain.

Who Are the Founders of Ondo Perps?

The project was founded by former Goldman Sachs executives, including Nathan Allman (who served as the original visionary and CEO until early 2026) and Pinku Surana. Following Allman's passing, Ian De Bode—a former partner at McKinsey and former President of Ondo—stepped in as CEO to lead the official launch of the Perps platform.
