About Hyperliquid EVM

HYPE is the native token of Hyperliquid, a high-performance perpetual futures DEX and L1 blockchain founded by former quantitative trader Jeff Yan with no venture capital backing. In November 2024, Hyperliquid conducted the largest airdrop in crypto history, distributing 31% of total supply to approximately 94,000 early users. The HyperEVM mainnet launched in February 2025, bringing general-purpose EVM programmability to the chain, with HYPE serving governance, staking, and fee buyback-and-burn functions.
