Q: What is the Purpose of PMXT?

The primary goal of PMXT is to provide a standardized, developer-friendly gateway to the fragmented world of prediction markets, enabling seamless data aggregation and cross-platform trading.

Q: How Can I Participate in PMXT's Ecosystem?

Developers can participate by contributing to the open-source repository on GitHub, building applications using the SDK, or integrating their own prediction market platforms into the PMXT library.

Q: What Sets PMXT Apart from Competitors?

Unlike individual exchange APIs, PMXT offers a single interface for all major venues. Its MCP-native status also makes it the leading choice for developers building autonomous AI agents for financial forecasting.

Q: What are the Risks Associated with PMXT?

The primary risks involve the underlying prediction markets themselves, such as liquidity fluctuations or regulatory changes affecting individual exchanges. PMXT manages these by providing unified error handling and regular updates to its exchange connectors.

Tools Prediction market

PMXT is the "CCXT" in the prediction market field. It provides a unified SDK and hosting API, supports one-click search, cross-market matching, historical OHLCV data and transaction execution (including upcoming smart order routing) on 10+ platforms such as Polymarket, Kalshi, and Limitless. It also opens self-hosting options to facilitate developers to quickly build trading robots, arbitrage tools, and analysis platforms.

What is PMXT?

PMXT (Prediction Market eXchange Toolkit) is an open-source SDK and unified API designed to standardize interactions across multiple prediction market platforms. Much like how CCXT revolutionized cryptocurrency exchange integration, PMXT provides a single interface for developers to access markets, fetch data, and execute trades across diverse venues like Polymarket, Kalshi, and Limitless. Its mission is to eliminate API fragmentation in the prediction market space, enabling the next generation of AI agents and quantitative trading tools.

How Does PMXT Work?

PMXT acts as a middleware layer that translates a standardized set of commands into the specific API requests required by different prediction markets. It handles complex cryptographic processes, such as Gnosis Safe signature types for Polymarket and RSA key pairs for Kalshi, automatically. Developers can use the PMXT Python or TypeScript SDKs to interact with various exchanges using a consistent object model, which includes unified structures for events, markets, and order placement.

What Makes PMXT Unique?

PMXT is unique for being the first "CCXT-style" toolkit specifically for prediction markets. It features native support for the Model Context Protocol (MCP), making it immediately compatible with AI agents like Claude and Cursor. Additionally, it offers a "drop-in" replacement for the legacy Dome API, including automatic migration tools (dome-to-pmxt) to help teams transition their codebases following major industry shifts, such as the acquisition of Polymarket's previous API infrastructure.

Who Are the Founders of PMXT?

PMXT is developed and maintained by the pmxt-dev team, a group of open-source contributors and fintech engineers. While the project is community-driven and MIT-licensed, prominent developers such as Samuel Tinnerholm have been instrumental in its technical architecture. The team consists of experts in API normalization and algorithmic trading who recognized the need for a unified development standard as prediction markets gained mainstream institutional volume.

What Key Events Have There Been for PMXT?

PMXT recently reached a major milestone with the release of version 2.49.x, which introduced enhanced support for decentralized prediction markets. The project gained significant traction following the 2024 election cycle, where prediction market volume exploded, leading many developers to seek the unified trading and data access provided by PMXT. It has also successfully integrated migration tools for users of the defunct Dome API.

Project Announcements

Recent updates include the addition of MCP-native support, allowing AI agents to query prediction market data directly. The team also announced expanded support for exchanges like Hyperliquid and Gemini Titan, broadening the toolkit's reach beyond the core Polymarket and Kalshi integrations.
