WorldLand

Layer2

WorldLand is an L2 or side chain of Ethereum, designed as a bottom-up solution to enhance the Ethereum ecosystem. Recognizing that the blockchain trilemma cannot be fully addressed by a single blockchain, WorldLand proposes the utilization of decentralized security blockchains, referred to as DeSecure blockchains, to achieve scalability while preserving decentralization and security. By connecting multiple side chains in parallel, WorldLand aims to increase block space and enhance transaction processing capabilities by integrating sub-national chains, local chains, and application chains.

What is WorldLand?

WorldLand is a Layer 2 (L2) or side chain of Ethereum, designed to enhance the Ethereum ecosystem by addressing scalability while preserving decentralization and security. It introduces decentralized security blockchains, known as DeSecure blockchains, to increase block space and improve transaction processing capabilities by integrating sub-national chains, local chains, and application chains.

How Does WorldLand Work?

WorldLand operates as a decentralized global mainnet, aiming for decentralization at the level of one vote per registered wallet address. It utilizes the Proof-of-Work (PoW) consensus algorithm with energy-efficient enhancements, such as a Verifiable Coin Toss Function and Error Correction Code, to reduce energy consumption while maintaining security. Nodes participate in collecting transactions, verifying blocks, and providing computing resources, contributing to the network's consensus and overall functionality.

What Makes WorldLand Unique?

WorldLand stands out due to its quantum-resistant cryptography, novel energy-efficient consensus algorithms, and full compatibility with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM). Its approach to decentralization, aiming for one vote per registered wallet address, and its focus on integrating various chains to enhance scalability, make it a distinctive project in the blockchain space.

Who Are the Founders of WorldLand?

WorldLand was developed by a team at the Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST), led by Dr. Heung-No Lee. The project has also established partnerships with key industry players, including AICA, Consensys, and the National Research Foundation of Korea.
